VB.Net Developer – Virginia Beach, VA

A successful candidate will have strong SQL skills, knowledge of MVC architecture and ORM tools. A background in healthcare, claims payment/processing systems and/or EDI transactions is a plus. Candidate will need to be a self-starter who can initiate discussion and be productive without absolute direction on tasks while also being a team player.

This position is responsible for maintenance and support of current .NET 2.0 fat-client application and will assist in design, development, testing and implementation of the next generation. The ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff is a must as this position interacts with business analysts about requirements, partners about enhancements and clients regarding implementation and application usage.

Required Skills

Business Analyst – Virginia Beach, VA

This position is responsible for assisting clients in troubleshooting issues and providing feedback to assist with the efficient use of the claims testing software application. A successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting in the identification, documentation, and gathering of requirements for enhancements and other industry required updates. Candidate will conduct quality assurance review and testing on the application to ensure issues have been addressed and new functionality meets requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

• Answering client calls and troubleshooting issues reported
• Gathering and developing requirements related to enhancements and industry updates
• Perform testing and evaluates results based on requirements. Documents identified issues and makes recommendations to improve application performance
• Document, track and report progress of identified issues reported internally or by the client.
• Design and develop accurate queries for testing
• Documents new functionality deployed within application
• Training of end-users on application, as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Minimum of 3-5 years in healthcare in claims, quality assurance or testing
• Knowledge of claims payment system(s)
  (FACETS, QNXT, AMISYS, etc.)
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of configuration on claims payment systems
• EDI Transactions (834,837)
• Knowledge of SQL
• Working knowledge of common desktop software tools including Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, Word and Project
